Highest settlement rests at 1000m and highest paved road at an elevation of 1.362m above the sea level, located in the Monte Limbara in north-eastern Sardinia. The island enjoys a warm and sunny climate thanks to its location in the Mediterranean. The best time to go cycling in Sardinia is during the spring and autumn when temperatures are high enough but not too hot and there are at least 8-10 hours of sunlight per day. The average temperature high is 20°C, which is very pleasant without being too hot.
